Cigna Hospital Contract Negotiation
St. David's HealthCare continues to work toward a new agreement with Cigna, but major issues remain unresolved, leaving the parties far from an agreement before the agreement's expiration on Sept. 30, 2026. By not reaching agreement, Cigna will be putting patients at risk of losing in-network access to the hospitals and providers they trust and facing higher out-of-pocket costs, rather than negotiating meaningfully toward resolution. Without an agreement, all Texas HCA Healthcare facilities will be out of network Oct. 1, except for emergency services.
